Can be dilated, restrictive, and hypertrophic

• Fatigue • SOB • Pulmonary oedema • RVF • Raised pulse and decreased BP • Raised JVP • Displaced apex beat Murmurs

What is hypertrophic cardiomyopathy?
A
LVOT obstruction from asymmetric septal hypertrophy. AD inheritance.

What are Sx of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy
A
- Sudden death
- Angina
- SOB
- Palpitations
- Syncope
- CCF
- Murmurs

What Ix in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy
A
ECG (LVH, WPW, ectopics, VT)
Echo - septal hyertrophy
Cardiac catheterisation can assess severity
MRI

What are causes of restrictive cardiomyopathy
A
• Idiopathic • Amyloidosis • Haemochromatosis • Scleroderma Sarcoidosis
