A

they supply the body with heat and energy,
extra carbs are stored as fat and adipose tissue,
cellulose helps digestion by pushing through the intestines quickly,
fibre prevents diseases eg bowl cancer

A

it is not digested by the body,
it helps digestion by pushing food through intestines,
it stimulates peristalsis,
it prevents constipation and diseases,
it absorbs a lot of water that gives the feeling of fullness
