why may drug resistance occur?
A
- Mutation of targets
- Increased metabolism = deactivation
- Decreased drug influx–increased drug efflux

what is hormone therapy?
A
removing the hormone that feeds the tumor like oestrogen in the breats and ovaries and progestron in the prostate
-can also use drugs to block hormone receptors
