When a cell doesn’t follow the checkpoint of G1 for the energy/ nutrients, S is for DNA synthesis, G2 is to make sure the DNA copied correctly, M is to make sure the spindle fibres attached to the chromosomes. If the cell follows checkpoints the cells is healthy. If they don’t follow those checkpoint they are unhealthy and called cancer cells.
