A

Failure to form attachment to primary caregiver can be due to frequent change to attachment figure or trauma, abuse, neglect

A

Persistent colic, no social smile, poor sucking reflex, resists affection/cuddling, doesn’t understand being comforted, delayed motor skills

A

lacks self control impulsive behaviour, speech + language delay, lack of understanding of normal boundaries, moral compass, prefers to play alone, hyperactive + aggressive, avoids overseas physical contact, food illnesses

What are the two subtypes of RAD

A

Inhibited: Failure to initiate and respond to social interactions appropriately, don’t seek comfort from parents
Disinhibited: DSED, no ability to form selective attachment, cannot distinguish relationships between strangers and primary caregiver

A

Repetitive + persistent pattern of behaviour where the basic human rights of others are violated aswell as age appropriate norms

Biopsychosocial influences, genetics, brain injury, environmental (mental illness, drugs/alcohol, domestic violence)
