Calorimetry Flashcards

1
Q

What is the equation for change in energy?

A

q = m x c x Δt

q = heat exchanged with surroundings (J)
m = mass of substance heated or cooled (g)
c = specific heat capacity (default to 4.18)
Δt = change in temperature
