This means they react in the same way as they have the same functional group.

They dissolve to form a neutral solution.

An alkoxide & hydrogen are produced.
What is the consumable use for ethanol?
Alcoholic drinks.

It is not as toxic as methanol.

It causes blindness.

Damages the liver & brain.
