A person’s physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual state, characterised by an equilibrium in which the individual feels happy, healthy, capable and engaged
Disease
A physical or mental disturbance, typically including symptoms or dysfunction
Illness
A person’s experience of their disease
Dynamic
h+wb is constantly changing in response to what a person experiences
Subjective
view of h+wb is subjective + differs between individuals based on their values, experiences
Complex
h+wb is complex because it involves many parts besides physical, isn’t just absence of disease
Chronic condition
a long-lasting condition, typically lasting longer than 6 months
