*Look for: athletes (runners, gymnasts that require lots of hip flexion). Hip stiffness, “snapping” tenderpoint medial to the ASIS, and a (+) pelvic shift to the contra lateral side
Renal Tubular Acidosis associated with hyperkalemia?
Type IV RTA is the only one associated with HYPERKALEMIA
Type IV RTA also has a normal urine pH (< 5.5)
Type IV RTA is caused by a deficiency or resistance to aldosterone
