A process of collecting organizational data and converting it into information then knowledge to support more fact-based decision making for an organization.
Used for collecting, integrating and cleaning data.
Dashboard:
A lens for viewing and interacting with performance data.
Dashboards must have depth -> encourage users to take action
Why Performance dashboards
To bridge the gap between strategy and execution (exists between executives and managers/staff)
They are a way to focus efforts of all personnel in the same direction (a common goal)
Dashboards as a focus on strategy
- employees focus on what is measured.
- be clear about what will be measured = organizational focus
- choose most important KPIs (6 is enough)
