What is an outcome?
The change that a product delivers.
What is a dis benefit?
It is an outcome that is perceived as negative by one or more stakeholders.
When do you verify the outline business case?
At the end of the pre-project stage and before the initiation stage.
When do you verify the detailed business case?
At the end of the initiation stage and before the other delivery stages.
How often do you update the business case?
At the end of each stage.

The executive

Only the major risks - catastrophic.
Who oversees the development of a viable business case?
Executive
Who specifies the benefits upon which the business case is approved?
Senior user

Senior supplier - they are accountable for suppliers business case.
Who monitors finance against agreed budget?
Project assurance
Should another’s business justification (profit) be documented in our business case?
No - shouldn’t be part of our business case.
Can we ask someone else with knowledge to specify how much profit the project should make?
No - the senior user should be accountable for specifying the benefits which justify the project
