Notes of administration
High doses or frequent administration, particularly in the elderly, can cause profound diuresis, hypovolemia and circulatory collapse

0.5 to 1.0 mg slow IVP over 1-2 min, or IM

Special notes
Bumetanide does not have the vasodilator effects for furosemide. Pt’s allergic to sulfa drugs may show hypersensitivity. May cause a reduction of blood supply to developing fetus.
1mg bumetanide = 40mg furosemide
