They used copper to make tools but it is too soft and the tools could break. They added tin to copper to make bronze. This was about 2500bc

Fire was used to separate the copper which is mining and separating the copper from the rock is smelting

What was the fulacht fiadh
The fulacht fiadh was their method of cooking. They would dig pits near rivers, they lined the pit with wood and filled it with river water, beside the pit they lit a fire and heated stones with it, when the stones were red hot they threw them into the pit making the water boil, then they wrapped the joints of meat in straw and put them in the water to cook

They buried the dead in a cist grave or wedge tomb

A stone circle were tall upright stones arranged In circles or rows, probably used for religious purposes
