Dorper (South Africa)

A
  • developed in 1930’s from crossing of Dorset ram and blackhead Persian ewe for arid extensive regions of South Africa
  • white bodied with black head, but can also be solid white
  • very fertile and breeds out of season
  • produces hair that naturally sheds if not shorn
