What is the pathway of breathing.
1.Oxygen is taken into the body through the mouth and nose.
2.Air moves down the trachea towards the lungs.
3.Air moves down a bronchus.
4.Air moves through a bronchiole.
5.Air moves in into an alveolus.
6.Oxygen diffuses into the blood.
Where does the carbon dioxide that we breath out come from?
When we breath in we breath in oxygen and it goes all the way into an alveolus and then we exchange oxygen for carbon dioxide which comes from the red blood cells and is also a waste product. So, then we breath it out.
What are two of the things that happen in our body when we inhale air?
1.Intercostal muscles contract and move the ribs out and up.
2.Diaphragm contracts and moves downwards.
What are 2 of the things that happen when we exhale?
1.Intercostal muscles relax and move the ribs in and down.
2.Diaphragm relaxes and moves upwards.
What are three of the effects of smoking?
1.It causes heart disease.
2.It causes heart attack.
3.It causes lung disease.
