Explain the events of the flight to Varennes (21 June 1791)
Louis and his family tried to flee to the belgium border to gain Austrian protection in his wifes name, however during the journey the king was recognised by a postmaker, in the town of Varennes, who reported him to the National Guard. Royal family were escorted back to Paris, Louis plan had failed.
Why did the kidnapping story to cover up the Flight to Varennes not work?
Louis had written a decleration, left at Tuilleries, declaring that he felt that the political situation as it stood, was an unworkable one.

Stated Austria and Prussia were willing to restore monarchial order in France by Force.

Freedom to those who do not oppose Prussia, threatned those who did oppose them or harmed Louis
Prussian army were on the border of France, Manifesto increased calls for abolition of the monarchy.
Describe the events of the invasion of the Tuileries. (10 August 1792)
King was seen as trying to stop the revolution, A total of 30,000 citizeens, consisting of National Guard and sans-culottes stormed the palace. The Tuileries was guarded by almost 1000 swiss Guard, lyal to the king, 600 swiss Guard were killed. Louis had escaped through a secret passage tot he legislative assembly, but he was later arrested.
What were the reasons for the September massacres
Desire to supress the Counter-revolutionaires. Also french towns fell to the Prussians, due to the Brunswick manifesto which futher sparked alarm in Paris.
Describe the event of the September massacres (1792)
Paranoid about the counter-revolution and encouraged by radicals, the sans-culottes hunted any suspected of betraying the revolution and killed them. 1400 people were killed in cold blood
When was the Champ de Mars massacre ? Explain the events
July 1791, after the flight to Varennes, a crowd protested for a republic rather than monarchy, National guard fired warning shots, then opened fire on crowd, about 50 people died
