- over adjustment
- broken or weak springs
- seizure of wheel cylinder piston

A
oil on the brake lining (leakage from a defective oil seal).
lack of fluid in master cylinder or worn brake linings.

uneven adjustment or grease, oil, fluid on the brakelining
