what is Boyle’s law

A

The pressure of an enclosed gas is inversely proportional to the volume it occupies at constant temperature.

higher pressure = lower volume

lower pressure = higher volume

what happens when you compress gas

A

As the volume decreases as you compress a gas then the pressure will increase. This happens because now that the particles are closer togethers so they have more collisions and as the number of collisions increases so does the pressure.
