Tactical Alert - A state of preparedness for/or response to incidents involving civil disturbance, natural disaster, etc.

Tactical Alert procedures are now divided into three phases.
Phase I - is a preplanning stage in anticipation of an event based on information received by any of the primary agencies including:
Phase II - is the implementation of developed tactical operation plans and will involve redeploying/predeploying resources as identified in the tactical plans.
Phase III - is the commitment of resources on missions/incidents into an impact area as a result of civil disturbance or other tactical operations as determined by the responding agency(s).

Involve redeployment/predeployment resources
Chief Engineer or Deputy may add personnel will be detailed to augment resources
This is conducted through underground tank unit of the fire prevention bureau
Implementation
Members take home PPE
Don’t go outside station unless for emergencies
wear body armor !!!!! (Phase II) for all responses
maintain 24 hour radio
limit dome lights on apparatus
Cover windows with heavy material (station)

Phase III - is the commitment of resources on missions/incidents into an impact area as a result of civil disturbance or other tactical operations as determined by the Department or Incident Commander.
OCD shall notify field resources of the tactical phase and geographic area involved.

Area Command -
Manage multiple incidents that are each being handled by an ICS organization
Oversee the management of a large incident that has multiple IC’s
Handle all dispatching of resources into the tactical area

Role of the FD - Provide for extinguishment of fires, rescue of persons trapped and emergency medical services for the injured.

Task Force, Medical task force - a group of mixed suppression and.or RA resources (other than a strike team) with a leader, temporary assembled for a specific mission
Normall 3 engines or 2 engines and 1 light force
Rask force 1001 etc.

1000 to 1030 when MFC forms a team
