- stylohyoid ligament (connects styloid to hyoid)
- Lesser horn of hyoid (Erect by pull of ligament)

- the body of hyoid

- Thyroid cartilage
- -Attachment site for vocal cords
- -protect laryngopharynx

- arytenoid cartilage (attachment of vocal cords)
- cricoid cartilage and tracheal rings ( Form skeleton of the trachea)

What are the pharyngeal attachments on the skull?
A
- Scaphoid fossa
- -posterior between medial and lateral pterygoid plates on base of skull
- -attachment site for tensor palati
- Hook of hamulus: Tensor palati “Hooks” around this process on the medial pterygoid plate to tense soft palate.
- Pharyngeal tubercule: in midline, just anterior to foramen magnum
- -marks posterior/ superior boundary of pharynx and its an attachment site for superior constrictor
