Q

Blood Supply down to the elbow Joint

A
  1. ● A. Axillaris
    Give of

1.○ A. Thoracica externa
■ Superficial branch: to the pects
■ Deep branch: to the deep pects
■ Su: a. Thoracica lateralis

  1. ○ A. Subscapularis:
    towards caudal angle scapula
    ■ A. Thoracodorsalis (caudodorsally): runs medially on lat. dorsi with same named nerve
    ■ A. Circumflex humeri cranialis (craniolaterally)
    ■ A. Circumflex scapulae
    ■ A. Circumflex humeri caudalis : anastomoses with cranial version
    ● A. Collateralis radialis

Continues as
2. ● A. Brachialis:
continuation of the axillary artery distal to the shoulder joint
○ A. Profunda brachii (caudally): branches to triceps m
○ A. Collateralis ulnaris (in direction of olecranon with ulnar nerve)
○ A. Brachialis superficialis : only in car (medially)

Q

Distal to the elbow joint:

A
  1. ● A. Antebrachialis superficialis cranialis : continuation of the superficial brachial
    artery
  2. ● A. Transversa cubiti : from a. Brachialis, laterally, lies close to humerus, supplies
    elbow joint
  3. ● A. Interossea communis :
LAST VESSEL to leave A.BRACHIALIS before his becomes the median artery, runs in the INTEROSSEUS SPACE of ulna and radius
    ○ A. Interossea cranialis :
    runs cranially towards carpus
    ■ A. Interossea recurrens
    ○ A. Interossea caudalis :
continuation of a. Interossea communis, runs on caudal surface of membrana interossea antebrachii
    ○ A. Ulnaris :
caudodistally between the deep flexor heads

4.● A. Mediana : continuation of a. Brachialis after it gives off a. Interosseous communis.
Runs together with v. Mediana and n. Mediana, runs caudomedially on the radius in
distal direction
○ A. Profunda antebrachii
○ A. Radialis :
runs close to a. Mediana
