Main blood supplies of the orbit
Ophthalmic artery and infraorbital artery
Branches of opthalmic artery(Mnemonic)
DR MCLESSI
DR MC

LESSI
Lacrimal, Ethmoidal, supratrochlear, supraorbital, internal palpabrae
Artery moving along the dorsal aspect of the nose, supplying the upper nose
Dorsal nasal artery
Pierces the dural sheath of the optic nerve supplies the retina except the rods and cons
Central retinal
Pierces the sclera at attachment of the rectus muscles, supplies the medial, lateral and superior rectus iris and ciliary body
Muscular artery
Pierces the sclera at the end of the optic nerve, supplies the retina rods and cones
Short posterior ciliary artery
Supplies the choroid and iris
Long post ciliary artery
Passes anteriorly on the lateral side of orbit, supplies Lacrimal gland, conjunctiva, lateral side of eyelids
