ECG- 25 mm/sec Calibration 1mV = 1cm Patient details Date Signature Inside of wrists (downwards) and ankles (upwards) Chest (downwards) Politely ask the patient to remain still and not talk during the recording – muscle activity interferes with the trace Press the appropriate button on the machine to record a trace Read- Right arm (RED) Your- Left arm (YELLOW) Books- Right leg (BLACK) Good- Left leg (GREEN)

V1- 4th intercostal space on the right V2- 4th intercostal space on the left V3- between V2 an V4 V4- 5th intercostal space left V5- same horizontal level as V4 V6- same horizontal level as lead 4 midaxillary line
