What is Bleed Air used for?
Engine starting, Air conditioning, heating, anti ice, pressurization, water pressure, Hot air leak detection.
Where does Pack 1 distribute air to?
Flight Deck and Cabin
Where does Pack 2 distribute Air to?
Cabin

what provides air to the packs?
Bleed Air
Does pack 1 normally get its air from bleed 1 or 2?
Bleed 1 (unless crossBLEED then it uses 2)

yes, up to 31000 ft

Stops BOTH RECIRC Fans

Amber light Illuminates on Button

6th and 10th stage compressors

2 (high speed 10th stage) (low speed 6th)
What does pushing out pack 1 putton?
closes pack 1 valve
Which cargo bay has air circulation
FWD cargo bay
Can pressurization outflow valve be modulated manually?
yes
What Happens when the Dump Button is pressed on the Pressurization panel?
Turns both recirc fans and Packs OFF
Cabin decompresses at a rate of 2000 ft per minute until 12,400 ft. Both packs are deactivated.

How many channels does the pressure controller have?
2 fully independent automatic channels, that Alternate each flight.
how do you set landing field elevation for pressurization?
Its set in the FMS from the Nav data base when you select a destination.

If you look at EICAS screen for landing field elevation and its color is Cyan what does that mean?
