Depressive disorders
Increase levels of norepinephrine and dopamine in acute mania elevated thyroid hormones May manifest as manic symptoms
Bipolar disorder
Increased levels of norepinephrine, decrease gaba activity, elevated levels of thyroid hormones
Panic disorder
Decreased levels of norepinephrine, serotonin, and dopamine. Decreased levels of gandotropics and growth hormone, increased cortisol levels
Anorexia nervosa
Decrease levels of serotonin. Increased cortisol levels.
Obsessive compulsive disorder
Decrease levels of acetylcholine, norepinephrine, serotonin, and somatostatin. Decreased corticotropin releasing hormone
