However this technology has been later developed to the FMRI scan which uses strong magnetic field to be able to show both the structure and activity of the brain. Yurgelon - Todd et al used FMRI scan to obtain data about brain activity and structure in schizophrenics and found less activity in the frontal lobes. Therefore this has further developed understanding of technology which can be used to study the complex human brain.
