Amendment process (beginning in congress)
2/3 of the congress propose an amendment and if 3/4 of state legislatures approve it then it becomes an official amendment.
Amendment process (beginning with state legislatures)
2/3 of state legislatures ask for a meeting to propose an amendment. A special convention is called and the amendment is then proposed. If 3/4 of special state conventions ratify the amendment, then it is official.

The Twentieth amendment, setting the date for the beginning and end of the presidential and congressional terms.
First amendment
Freedom of religion, speech, the press, assembly, and the separation of church and state and the right to petition the government.
2nd amendment
Right to bear arms
3rd amendment
Right to not quarter soldiers
4th amendment
Freedom from unreasonable searches of property without a warrant. No warrants without probable cause.
5th amendment
Freedom from being tried of a crime twice, no being forced to testify themselves, nobody should be deprived from life liberty or property without a trial, no private property can be made public without compensation.
6th amendment
Right to a fast public trial, the right to a lawyer, the right to have an impartial jury (they vote on if the judges decision was unfair) right to call witnesses.
7th amendment
Right to a trial by JURY in cases over $20.
8th amendment
Right to a fair bail, protection from unusual punishments and excessive fines
9th amendment
Guarantee that the list of rights aren’t the only freedoms people have
(The bill of rights defines your personal rights but isn’t every law ever)
10ths amendment (amendment X)
Guarantee that powers not given to the US by the constitution remain with (sometimes) the states and always the people. (Government can’t make new rules or assert rights it doesn’t have)
