A

loc- metaphysis of medullary bone, tend to be in extremities

Age- 10-30

Types- Pedunculated (small stalk), Broad based (broad stalk)

Pain- painless

Pain- asymptomatic

Imaging- focus of cortical bone in medllary

A

loc- cortex of spine, hip, knee

pain- severe pain @ night

Age- 10-25

Imaging- lucent nidus (<1cm) w thick sclerotic border (plastic type lesion)

loc- cortex of bone (mc in spine; neural arch)

Age- <20

Pain- localized pain but not worse at night

imaging- similar to osteoid ostoma but nidus >2cm

loc- medulla of metaphysic (hands/feet)

Imaging- lesion lucent w calcifications with well defined non sclerotic border

manage- refer if pain (as it can become chondrosarcoma)

Loc- Always in epiphysis/apopysis (knee, hip, shoulder)
