Intro
focused on South Asian adolescents in a working class area of the South Midlands.

Panjabi & SAE was used by Asian males within their own ethnic peer group as a marker of their identity, It was also used to challenge the established white dominated social hierarchy of Britain and rebel against their teachers
Findings
white females used Panjabi, SAE and Creole forms as a way of communicating to Asian males and demonstrating their shared interest
Crossing
in all different ethnic groups the speakers were able to code switch seamlessly between their Asian heritage languages, English and Creole forms.
