A
A complex inflammatory condition that characteristically presents with recurrent oral and genital ulcers.

- Simple Aphthous Ulcers.
- IBD - Crohn’s.

- Squamous Cell Carcinoma.

Oral Features of Behçet’s Disease.
A
At least 3 episodes of mouth ulcers annually - painful, sharply circumscribed erosions with red halo that heal over 2-4 weeks.

Genital Features of Behçet’s Disease.
A
Similar to oral ulcers.
Kissing Ulcers - 2 opposing surfaces so they are facing each other.

Dermatological Features of Behçet’s disease (3).
A
- Erythema Nodosum.
- Papules/Pustules (like Acne).
- Vasculitic Type Rash.

Ophthalmological Features of Behçet’s Disease (3).
A
- Uveitis.
- Retinal Vasculitis.
- Retinal Haemorrhage.

Investigations of Behçet’s Disease (2).
A
- Clinical Diagnosis.
- Pathergy Test : Sterile needle to create a SC abrasion on forearm. Check 24-48 hours later for a weal 5mm or more in size.
