What information might clients request regarding the use of nutritional aids and supplements?
Clients may ask are they should take supplement, what type supplements they should take, what brand supplements are better? Evaluation of the particular supplements for a client depends on the individual’s goals and situation. ConsumerLab.com, tests supplements for quality and purity and provides the results on its website. Supplements that pass the test can carry the ConsumerLab approved quality product seal on the label.
What reasons or situations may require a client to be referred to a healthcare professional?
Referral to a nutrition professional is indicated when the client has a disease state (i.e., diabetes, heart disease, gastrointestinal disease, eating disorder, osteoporosis, elevated cholesterol, etc.) that is affected by nutrition.
