Basic Move - Hack and Slash
Trigger: attack an enemy in melee
Roll: +Str
10+: deal your damage. Optional: +1d6 damge & get hit
7-9: deal your damage & get hit
Basic Move - Volley
Trigger: attack an enemy at range Roll: +Dex 10+: deal your damage 7-9: deal your damage & choose one: - place yourself in danger - deal -1d6 damage - reduce ammo by one
Basic Move - Defy Danger
Trigger: act facing danger or suffer calamity
Roll: depends
10+: you succeed unharmed
7-9: worse outcome, hard bargain, or ugly choice
Basic Move - Defend
Trigger: stand in defense Roll: +Con 10+, hold 3 7-9, hold 1 While defending, spend hold to: - redirect an attack to yourself - halve an attack's effect or damage - give an ally +1 forward - deal damage to the attacker equal to your level
Basic Move - Spout Lore
Trigger: recall knowledge about something
Roll: +Int
10+: something interesting & useful
7-9: something interesting. GM might ask how you know this.
Basic Move - Discern Realities
Trigger: closely observe something or someone Roll: +Wis 10+: ask three questions 7-9: ask one question Take +1 forward when acting on the answers. - What happened or will happen? - Who's in charge? - What is useful? - What is hiding?
Basic Move - Parley
Tigger: when you use leverage on an NPC
Roll: +Cha
10+, they do what you ask if you promise
7-9+ they do what you ask if you show proof
Basic Move - Aid or Interfere
Trigger: when you help or hinder someone
Roll: +Bond
10+, they take +1 or -2 to their roll
7-9: same, but you face danger or pay a cost
