Basic model and Input Flashcards

1
Q

whats the stages of the basic information processing model ?

A

Input - information they are recieving from the environment (stimulus taken in by our senses)
Decision making - making decision on what shot to hit
Output - carry out movement stored in LTM
Feedback - kineasthetic feedback, coaches, croud

Q

Q

Explain Proprioceptors

A

“information from within”
information includes : balance, position of limbs, the movement of our body
3 PARTS to proprioceptive information:
* touch (feel grip on golf club
* equilibrium - position of body in space (inner ear), important for gymnasts e.g. location of the body during a somersault
* kinaesthesis - sense telling the brain about movement of muscles, tendons and joints. for example: “the shot felt right”
