Skin cancer, that is slow growth and has local invasion. Very rarely metastasises

What are the features of a basal cell carcinoma?

A
  • Nodular
  • sun exposed sites (head & neck)
  • initially pearly, flesh-coloured papule with telangiectasia
  • may later ulcerate leaving a central ‘crater
