TOP WINES PRODUCED

Barolo Monfortino (1920)
Barolo Cascina Francia (1978)

Nebbiolo d’Alba Ceretta (ACQ. 2008)

**purchased fruit until 74, when acquired francia vineyard, which since 78 provides fruit for cascina francia and monfortino bottlings

STYLE: father of the classic Barolo style: grapes have extended maceration periods and are aged in large, old Slavonian oak botti. Monfortino sees hotter fermentations, longer macerations, and longer ageing than Cascina Francia. Wines are organic.
