An approved model of helmet should be worn by pilots at all times.
ALMs should wear helmets on Tac AT sorties as follows:
From “Prepare for Action” to “Egress checks”
For Airfield Assault from “Prepare for Action” to “After Take -off Checks”
When in the threat environment on operational Tac AT sorties
When moving around the AS in turbulent conditions
When the AS cdr deems it necessary
At any other time during a Tac AT sortie if they so wish.

47 AD Sqn dispatchers should wear an approved model of protective helmet during the active phase of supply dropping tasks, and at all times below 2000 ft AGL, or when directed by the AS cdr.

SNC and pax should don protective helmets as per ALM requirements in 6.4.5.3. and at any other time as directed by the AS Cdr or other qualified crew member, unless specifically exempted in DDH orders.
