Single DC GENERATOR caution light
Non bold face
- Check CB’s in
- GEN sw……reset then on
Cx list continues….
- Land as soon as practicable
Fire handle illuminates during start
Throttles - both to idle/shut off/confirm fire
T handle - identify/pull
Fire - if fire persists - fire main
If fire continues for more than 10 secs
Fire ext - fire reserve
Engine fire during takeoff
- Land if a suitable area is available
- collective - lower as altitude permits, below OEI
- airspeed - 45kt min
- throttle - identify/ idle / check for fire
If fire confirmed or doubt exists
- throttle - closed
T handle - identify / pull
Fire ext - fire main
If fire persists for more than 10 secs
Fire ext - fire reserve
ITT races up during engine start
Abort start:
- throttle - closed
- starter - maintain energised until ITT below 150deg C
- fuel switch - identify/off
- boost pump sw - off
Red baggage fire light illuminates
Power - reduce to min required
Land as soon as possible
Check for signs of smoke/fire, if confirmed or doubt exists
Land immediately
Nose goes left during hover and Nr drops a little
Engine failure in hover
Collective - freeze/lower to minimise Nr decay
Cyclic/pedals - correct drift and yaw
Collective - as required to cushion landing
Eng Oil pressure caution light illuminates
Engine low oil pressure < 40psi
Collective - lower to within OEI power limits
Confirm - oil px gauge below limit
“Tq split - rotors high”
High N2, N1, ITT and Tq in affected engine
Call Rotor trends
Collective - adjust to contain NR
Safe flight - ensure
Throttle (affected eng) - identify/ idle
Engine fluctuations
Engine fluctuation cx list
Safe flight condition - ensure
Master caution
Red XMSN OIL TEMP light
Oil temp > 110deg
Collective - reduce to min required
Confirm - check oil temp gauge
If confirmed - check xmsn oil PX
If oil px within limits - land when prac
If oil px below - land as soon as possible
Secondary indications - land immediately
During cruise
Master caution and
Red ENG X OUT light illuminates
N1 below 53
N2 below 85
ITT bellow 400
DC GEN / OIL PX / PART SEP OFF lights
Engine failure in cruise
Collective - adjust to contain Nr at/abv 97%
IAS - adjust if nec to 70kts or abv
RPM sw - beep up to 100%
Remaining eng - check within OEI limits
Batt bus switches - both on
Non-esntl bus sw - manual
Call Nr trends and monitor OEI limits
OVER TORQ light
Reduce power
Land as soon as prac
Fire handle illuminates on approach
If suitable area avail - land
Collective - lower below OEI if altitude permits
Airspeed - 45kt min
Throttle - identify/ idle/ check for fire
If confirmed or doubt exists throttle - closed
T handle - identify/ pull
Fire ext - fire main
If fire persists > 10secs
Fire ext - fire reserve
NO 1 or 2 ENGINE CHIP illuminates
Collective - lower within OEI
Safe flight - ensure
Shut down eng IAW cx list
Land as soon as prac
Fuel intcon caution light
Non bold face
Master caution
Heater air line light
Heater sw - OFF

Door lock

All doors - cx closed
IAS - reduce to 60kts
ATT flag on ADI
Gyro unreliable
Monitor STBY AI indicator
Cx pilot and cplt ATTD SYS CB’s - IN
If flag does not retract, continue in ATT or SAS mode
Note AP’s and FD will decouple

NO 1 or 2 GEN OVHT light
DC GEN sw - off

NO 1 or 2 HYDRAULIC light
Confirm failure - verify with gauge
< 650psi / temp > 88 deg
Land as soon as possible

The duration and destination are at the PIC discretion. Extended flight beyond the nearest suitable landing area is not recommended, although consider technical assistance accessibility.
