Q

What are the 5 main uses for glucose in a plant?

A

Respiration- energy form it is used to convert it into other substances
Making cellulose- to make cell walls
Making amino acids- it is combined with nitrate ions. Amino acids are made into proteins
Stored as oils or fats- turned into lipids to be stored in seeds
Stored as starch- ready for when no photosynthesis can happen
