What is a producer in an ecosystem
Producers create food from inorganic matter. Like plants, plants convert water, co2 and light into carbohydrates.
What is a consumer
A being in the ecosystem that cannot create its own food
What is a predator
A being in the ecosystem that relies on killing other living beings in the ecosystem for food
What is prey
Prey are animals that have animals higher up the food chain that commit homicide against them in order to eat them
Why must material in the living world be recycled?
To maintain a stable community of organisms
What chemical elements are recycled when animals and plants decay?
Carbon, nitrogen and water
Who uses carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and what for?
Plants and vegetation use carbon dioxide for photosynthesis
Why is the water cycle important?
It is important to maintain enough water going around and water is necessary for any life
