Easy to use
Relatively cheap
Rely on light so resolution is limited so some details can appear blurry

What are the advantages and disadvantages of an electron microscope

A

Really big, very expensive and hard to use
Use electrons instead of light giving it a higher maximum resolution and magnification(2000 times better than light)
Therefore can study sub cellular structures
