The ballistic insert has a water repellent treatment and casing to preserve the ballistic capability. User is responsible to keep it dry
If dropped or suspected to have been dropped, plates must be inspected/replaced

Aircrew Survival and Egress Knife (ASEK)
Has saw teeth, sharp edge, serrations, hammer, plexiglass scorer, and lanyard hole
