What is the phallus?
A copulatory organ (penis-like) which fills with lymph during mating to allow semen to be deposited into the female
What is the Papillae?
An organ in the wall of the cloaca that emits semen in the cloaca of the female

What happens before a female reaches sexual maturity?
The right ovary and oviduct degenerate (decline) leaving only one functional
What happens at the Infundibulum part of the oviduct?
Receives the egg and fertilisation takes place
What happens at the Magnum part of the oviduct?
Secretes the albumen
What happens at the Isthmus part of the oviduct?
Adds the shell membrane
What happens at the Uterus part of the oviduct?
Secretes the shell and pigment
What happens at the Cloaca part of the oviduct?
Where the egg and waste leave the body
What is the ovary?
A cluster of follicles, which each contain an ovum that develops overtime
What is an ovum?
A mature female reproductive cell
