what are the steps to applying sealant

A

rubber dam then etchant (phosphoric acid) - to grooves.
after etchent is applied (wait 15 seconds) then rinse and dry it.
-put some sealant on paper pad then apply sealant with its own applicator tip to the grooves. cure for 20 seconds (?)

A

apply to dentin, blow thin with air, then cure for 20 seconds

A

put on paper with gun. use holenback to scoop and put into the pits only. then light cure for 40 seconds.

what are the steps for minimally invasive composite prep

A
  1. drill pits/ grooves w half of quarter round bur
  2. etch into all the grooves, extend far. wait 15 seconds then rinse and dry
  3. scotch bond universal bonding agent- apply along prep, blow thin with air. then cure for 20 seconds.
  4. composite- with gun place on paper. scoop with holenback and place in pits. light cure 40 seconds.
  5. place flowable composite with an explorer into grooves , light cure for 40 seconds. `

what are the steps to finishing composite

A
  • contour - define anatomy and remove flash
  • check occlusion and recontour
  • check for flash again

(have to check for flash and occlusion AGAIN when polishing!)
