Q

What happens if a Flight Guidance Module fails?

A

FGM 1 is normally the master and FGM 2 the slave. Either FGM can process flight director commands but both are needed for auto pilot operation.

Q

How does the Flap Pitch Auto Trim work?

A

Produces 2° per second of pitch trim provided:

  • WOW shows airplane has been airborne for more than 2 seconds
  • FCECU detects flaps moving between 15° and 35°
  • CAS less than 180 knots
  • AP not engaged
  • Flight crew is not operating the pitch trim
16
Q

What does the Yam Damper provide?

A
  • Damping of roll oscillations
  • Turn coordination

Limited to a maximum of +/- 4.5° of rudder displacement and commands are limited as a function of airspeed
