Through the drip drip effect - over long periods of time, audiences exposed to ideological messages in media that are ued to maintain status quo (capitalism)

Striking balance between passive and action - audiences interpret differently (active) but are limited (passive)
How do Pluralists criticise this model
Only showing what audience want and not to convince them of a different view - there is also a diverse range of views so difficult to spread one view of capitalism
