Atypical 0-2 months
strong extension, unable to lift head in prone, no WBing in supported standing, no kicking, strong asymmetrical postures, hypotonia
atypical 3 mos
supine minimal kicking, no hand on body exploring, no attempt to lift head with a pull to sit
atypical 4 mos
poor midline orientation of head and hands, unilateral UE use, prone unable to lift head, pull to sit no assist with head lift, unable to ring sit, no WBing in supported standing
atypical 5 mos
supine: no hand to feet or foot to mouth, poor midline orientation. rolls to side via extension. sidling: no lateral flexion, no LE dissociation. Can’t ring sit, no WBing or extension in standing.
atypical 6 mos
prone: maintains frog leg position, no UE WBing. Pull to sit: head lag, shoulder elevation, no initiation. standing-WBing on toes, LE extended.
atypical 7 mos
supine preference. Prone: not reaching in all direction, no LE dissociation or WS. Sitting: independent ring sit only. can’t transition into or out of sitting. quadruped: bunny hop. standing: no WBing or WSing. heels not on floor.
atypical 8-10 mos
sitting W or ring only, can’t transition into or out of and can’t sit independently. bunny hop only-no crawling, can’t climb, scoots on but. standing weight on toes, no WS, unable to reach for/play w/ toy.
atypical 11 mos
on top of all previous, no cruising, no forward walking with hand holding, belly crawling only
red flags for language delay/ASD
no babbling by 12 months, no gestures for communication (pointing, showing, reaching, waving) by 12 months. no words by 16 months. no two word meaningful phrases (does not include repetition or imitation) by 24 months. Any loss of speech, babbling or social skills at any age.
