Ideas charged with emotion that produce specific behaviour to a specific situation
What is the triadic model
1.) Cognitive-your thoughts,e.g belief in exercise benefits
2.) Affective- your feelings,e.g enjoying training
3.) Behavioural-your actions,e.g training three times a week

What are the 2 concepts of attitude change

Define cognitive dissonance
A challenge to existing beliefs causing disharmony in an individual and a motivation to change attitudes
Define persuasive communication
Persuading others to understand what one is trying to communicate. E.g ‘is there anything else I can get you’
How can negative attitudes be changed into positive ?
Persuasion from a perceived expert Making it fun when training Using role models Cognitive dissonance Allowing positive reinforcement and rewards
What is socialisation ?
Processes where cultural values are learnt by associating with others
