A

. 16 baby rhesus monkeys separated from mothers and brought up in cages
. Cages contained surrogate mums a wire mum with milk (food ) and a cloth mum (comfort )
. Amount of time spent with each mum recorded
. Monkeys frightened by a loud noise to test who they went to scared
. Long term effects recorded-sociability and relationships with future offspring

A

. Monkeys spent more time with cloth mother than wire
. Frightened went to cloth mum
. Monkeys later in life had emotional damage- more timid, bullied, difficulty mating and inadequate parenting
