Define Transitions
An event or nonevent that results in a change in
assumptions about oneself and the world and thus
requires a corresponding change in one’s behaviour
and relationships.

> Athletes has to make a special effort to adapt
Lack of adaptation results in: low self-esteem, emotional discomfort, confusion
Often involves external intervention
