In the women’s own home she was the boss. They were not allowed to leave the house without their husbands permission, and couldn’t even visit a temple without permission also.

They had a great deal of freedom. Thy could leave the house whenever they want, run a business. They went to military school outside their house and became skilled warriors. If the men left for war it was the women’s job to defend the city from attacks
